Zen Emptiness

Calligraphers collaborated to explore different themes and to examine philosophy and symbolism in their personal practice. The calligraphy were paired with classic batik motifs and colours which were then transcribed into various unique artworks that transcends cultures, media and boundaries in an attempt to promote the aesthetics of languages and to foster a sense of multiculturalism through calligraphy and batik art.
